The problem is the lack of action on God's part.
A lot of people develope this idea that God's job is to pour blessing on their life.
Since the fall of man, the reponsibility for our actions rests with us.
I once read a story about a woman who blamed God for the fact she married a violent abusive husband. She was quoted as saying, "How could I possibly have wound up married to a tyrant? Why had God forsaken me?”
God did not forsake her. He honored her freedom of choice, and that of her husband as well. If she had been seeking God's advice, she might of realized her future husband was not a godily man.
